Contaminated sludges and sediments which build up in lakes, lagoons and detention ponds will need periodic removal and safe disposal.  This can be best achieved using a dredger and GeoPro Desludging Tubes to dewater the dredged materials.  With the correct processing it should be possible to ensure a clear filtrate runs back into the lake.  The dry solids and contaminants that remain in the tube can be either modified or sent to landfill.

Bunded areas are constructed with lightweight geomembranes to contain the GeoPro Desludging Tubes to ensure there is good control of the filtrate coming out of the tubes and no ground infiltration. The filtrate can be drained or pumped back to the pond under the prevailing guidelines.
